12-Week Trail Running Program — Train For Any Race With Anna Frost

A structured 12-week coaching program for any trail race, any distance — from your first 5K to a 100-mile ultra. Personalized to your goal race, your terrain, and your life.

Who is this program for?

This program is for any runner with a race on the horizon and 12 weeks to prepare. Whether you're lining up for your first trail race or targeting a bucket-list ultra, Anna builds a plan around your specific goal — the race, the terrain, the distance, and where you are right now.

Beginners — your first trail race

Never raced before? This program gives you the structure, confidence, and preparation to cross your first finish line feeling strong. Anna starts where you are and builds progressively — no guesswork, no overtraining, no surprises on race day.

Intermediate runners — go further

Already running but ready to step up in distance or difficulty? The 12-week program gives you a structured build toward your next goal — whether that's your first 50K, your first mountain race, or simply a faster finish at a familiar distance.

Competitive athletes — race faster

Experienced ultra runners and competitive trail athletes use this program to build a focused, structured training block around a specific target race — from Western States and Hardrock to destination races like the Ultra Skyrunning Madeira. Anna brings two decades of elite mountain racing experience to your preparation.

Why Train With Anna

Anna Frost is a professional trail, ultra, and mountain runner with over 20 years of international racing experience. She has raced every distance from vertical kilometers to 100 miles, on every terrain imaginable — and has coached runners of all levels through the same journey she loves: finding your edge, loving the process, and arriving at the start line ready.

The science and the experience

Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Otago University, with a focus on coaching, biomechanics, sports psychology, and nutrition. She brings that science together with two decades of real-world racing and coaching — so your 12 weeks are built on both evidence and experience.

Coaching built around your life

Anna understands that runners have jobs, families, and competing demands. The 12-week program is structured but flexible — built around your schedule, your terrain, and your life. If something changes, the plan changes with it.

Self-awareness at the centre

Anna's coaching has always prioritised learning to read, listen to, and react to your own body. Over 12 weeks, you don't just get fitter — you become a more self-aware, better-equipped athlete who understands your own training.

12-Week Program Or Full On Coaching?

The 12-week program is a focused, race-specific block — ideal if you have a single target race and want structured expert coaching for that build. Full On Coaching is Anna's ongoing monthly program for athletes who want continuous support, evolving goals, and a long-term coaching relationship.

Not sure which is right for you? Get in touch, and Anna will help you decide.
